This is from Cheeky's dev update on Nov 20, 2024 where he showed the differences. I can see how players might think the hair is worse (at least before the scene where she cut her hair), but overall, it was a huge improvement.

Oh, so you mean this one (from Episode 11 and 15). That's the one I was referring to when I said "before the scene she cut her hair". It seems like it will be changed in the remastered version since her hair is roughly the same in Chapter 1 of the remaster as it is in Episodes 18 through 24 of the original game.
The sign of a lazy dev/animator. Longer hair can cause issues with clipping so they tend to cut that shit and write it into the story rather than to deal with it.

Cheeky made a Patreon post where he took some of the newer renders and enhanced them with AI, but he is not using AI in the game.
Why not? It could be the perfect chance to redo the game allover once again.
