    Cincinnati is a mixed breed when it comes to style and culture where its Midwest, East Coast, Appalachian & Southern at the same time. 💯

    There's a horse drawn carriage at 9:15. A guy trying to make a few bucks. I love the old buildings. Probably over 120 years old. They were someone's home or business once.

    • @bhillboy37
      @bhillboy37 2 года назад +2

      A lot of the buildings are from the early 1900's. People still live there. Depending on who owns the house, some of them are updated or still really nice.

    I used to live in the old David shoe building factory off Livingston and Central right after the riots… I think the only reason I was able to not give a f*** about it is because I just lost my father…i was only 20 years old.. heart and head heavy.
    and I swear when I walked down the sidewalks I used to “part them like the Red Sea”!!
    Nobody ever messed with me!
    It was a dark place, but I was able to handle it because I was that low. 💙🙏🏼

    I think if Chicago and Detroit had a baby it would be Cleveland. All 3 have more of a typical midwest built environment. Cincy has somewhat of an east coast built environment more so than De,Cle,&Chi. I love all 4 cities.

    Every street, every corner has a story to tell. From the banks of the snake to over the Rhine, "Down da way" as I would say. When I was at Clifton Penn Station, mid to late 90's I lived here. I love my city and my neighbors. I miss Smittys my godfather a part owner. #MyCityStory 🌆💕

    None of these Cincinnati hood videos go to the west side at all. It's all west end and over the Rhine. These areas aren't nearly as rough as they once were. Gentrification has pushed a lot of the worst spots to outer neighborhoods

      @0c7ober7 2 года назад +7

      Nah bro New York got influenced from Cincinnati like the Brooklyn bridge and the empire state building the architect designed the first version of his projects here in Cincinnati fact.
      Roebling bridge and carew tower are the 2 projects I'm referring and Cincinnati is German and Italian influenced like New York in architecture in some neighborhoods specifically over the rhine and over the rhine was more dense than Manhattan at 1 point the largest german neighborhood outside Germany lol also Cincinnati has orange brick in parts of the west end and over the rhine no other city has that except Columbus in the neighborhood germantown so Cincinnati has its identity and we have the Cincinnati reds witch is iconic and Cincinnati chili Cincinnati pizza we got are own accent here and more I love nee york but Cincinnati is not a wannabe city 2 me.
      My fault for typing your head off loll I just wanted to defend Cincinnati 😂 much love 2 you.

      They didn't build these houses in 1870 thinking "We want to be like New York". They just built houses.
