rar. yar. Woof.
Ive decided that I will be offering kits for this mask. Incidently. Price is yet to be decided on, suggestions welcome. Would come with the plastic shells, hinge pieces and instructions. jawset and eyes and magic-sculpt for putting in eyelids you'd have to get yourself. takes a size 32mm taxidermy eye. Vision is FANTASTIC.

Looks freakin' awesome! :D If it's meant to be furred though, those fine details need to be carved in way deeper to show up. I have absolutely no idea what to tell you to price it at, as I don't know how expensive/complicated it is to make the mold. My budget for buying something like that would be $60-90 personally.
I love it, but the one thing keeping me from considering getting it is I personally think the eyes are set too far apart :< I entirely understand the tear-duct vision thing, though, and your work is absolutely mind-boggling ^^ So please I apologize ahead of time if my words are taken in a negative light, as I in no way mean to insult your stuff from what I said.
PS: I'd shell about $100 for it if I were to get one. ^^

Nono, I hear ya and agree. Yeah that is one of the things thats always bugged me about taxidermy eye'd masks, the eyes have to be set way far part for there to be good vision- sometimes it works, sometimes it dosnt. I think what I have going here is a pretty good balance going in this instance but if I could put those eyes closer together and still have good vision, I totally would. Whats NICE about thos build though is that if someone wanted to, they could cut out a substantially larger portion of the plastic and put in larger mesh and then be able to bring those eyes closer together, and I think I may try that in the future. But thats the thing about costuming, something will always be sacrificed for something else, be it durability, aesthetics or comfort.
what species and size jaw set is that? and what material is that if you dont mind me asking, is it a special kind of sculpting plastic? ive really wanted to make a head and i really dont know where to start, theres soooo many different ways and im just not sure which way would be right for me... ive made a few crappy ones in the past, but just ones that where for halloween costumes, nothing sturdy or long lasting... this looks like a great idea to sell as kits for people who want to do it themselves but dont know where to start!
