I watched RockStar INXS but I'm kind of fed up with it by now.
Ryan Star is my pick so far.

Hot girls on there regardless. However I just think it's some kind of marketing ploy for these guys to make more money. I can't see the band lasting for more then 1 maybe 2 albums.

I was just going to make a thread on this. It is so strange to me to see a former member of Metallica in a bad with a former member of Motley Crue. I can't get over that.

As I watch, and listen to each of the performances, I try to imagine who's voice I'd like to hear front this band. So far, I'm pulling for the Icelander Magni. I think he's the best contestant they have up there. I could see bying a CD with Toby, or even that guy that did that Live song last night. I just don't see them with a female front. And if they pick a female, I feel sorry for her having to be trapped on a tour bus with Tommy Lee. It seems like all he does during the comment portion of the female contestants time is hit on them. He's really the oddest fit of the three of them to me.

I'm not saying that the female contestants aren't talented. I really like Storm Large, and, I think Jill is the cute short blonde. What a voice on her. That Puero Rican chick and her attitude have got to go though, and I think tonight might be her night.

Also, I do NOT understand why the band members are so far up Dilanna's ass. I do not like her at all. What she's passing off as an energetic performance is just spastic. I hated what she did with Ring of Fire, and her voice is like fingernails scraping down a chalk board. It reminds me of Kim Carnes (Betty Davis Eyes), and there is no way I'd ever buy one of their CDs if she was singing on it.

Oh, I forgot that little drag queen, vampire looking pygmy. The guy from Toronto. He had a couple of good performances, but the more we see of him, the more he shows just how one-dimensional his voice is.

I can NOT believe they didn't send Sayida home tonight! I don't think Phil belonged in that band either, but I do think he should have gone further than Sayida. I figure they must be keeping her around to see what tight ass little outfit she wears next week. She did look awesome last week I must say though.

I was talking to my friend about this on the phone today. He told me that he heard an interview with Tommy Lee about this show and this contest about four months ago on Sirius, or on KROQ, and that back then, there was no mention of the other members of the band. He suspects that they weren't even on board when the idea was pitched, and Tommy Lee just went around to see who he could get after the deal was done. So, it does look like this is probably a gimmick. It makes sense really. If they really came together for the purpose of being a band, and not for the purpose of being on this show, they would have hit the scene as a complete band. But with the background of the band members...or at least of Jason, and Gilby, I think it does have potential, and it does have my interest depending on who they bring on board as their singer.

I loved Tommy's hood tonight though!

After tonight, I think the only person I'm interested in seeing in front of this band, is Magni, the guy from Iceland. He's the best performer, and most talented, and has the best voice of anyone in the group for the kind of sound I imagine this band will make. Although, the guy that did "Losing My Religion" on the piano tonight did an AMAZING job!

I watched 5 minutes of it... I can sum it up in one word...

The show isn't great but I like it, Ryan Stars version of 'Losing My Religion' really was really inspiring,, that was raw talent. Big p13, I couldn't agree more with your comment about the Canadian guy,,,, he came out of the gate with all guns blazing,,, but has since proved himself to be very one dimensional. Out of Tommy, Gilby and Jason only Tommy has a big ego, they won't be a band fueled by egos so I think Magni would be a good fit as leader. It's a stupid show, but I like it.

Five minutes was all I needed... When they told "Jill" that her performance would make people want to leave, I didn't need to watch anymore.

Predictable response...I agree though, they are much harder on Jill than they should be. She has an amazing voice. They got down on her when she sang a Hole song, I can't remember which one it was right now, and they got on her because she was screaming more than singing. If they have ever listened to that song, though, that's what it is!

I can't believe Zayra dodged another bullet. She definately is living on borrowed time. Her 867-5309 performance was terrible last night! I think she's just being kept around as a novelty at this point. The little cutesie brunette did need to go, but she didn't deserve to leave before Zayra. The band sounded amazing during her performance of "House of the Rising Sun" though. I really would have liked to see Lukas in the bottom three tonight as well.

Oh it's most definitely a gimmick.
In an interview Tommy Lee says something like "we could practice in a garage but I kinda like the whole world to watch".

Zayra is my second favorite after Ryan Star (and maybe Magni), I want her to stay. Maybe I'm thinking with my erect penis and not my ears, though, but hey, there are stars not as hot and not as talanted who sale albums in the millions so maybe she can make it.
In the previous show, RockStar INXS, I was cheering for Jessica, who was the hottest there, so you can tell my opinion is kind of biased.

That, in my opinion, is a huge part of the problem with music today. Too many people are too worried about how a musician looks, rather than how they sound, or how talented they are musically. If someone is making music, which appeals to our auditory senses, what they look like means nothing. I miss the days of ugly rock stars who actually made good music.

Now, that being said...I agree with Thomas Jenkins that Jill is pretty damn hot! Zayra is pretty hot as well, but, be honest, is she the one to front a rock group with member of Metallica and GNR, or is she more the pop princess type? She's obviously the second. I'm not saying she's not talented, I'm just saying that she doesn't belong in this competition anymore. I'm also saying that she's a bitch, and I can't stand her.

Man, almost all of the performances were really, really good tonight. I still think it's got to be Magni. He's just too polished up there. Ryan had another good performance tonight with Paint it Black, although, that's one song that I don't think should ever be fooled around with. It's just too amazing in its original arrangement. This was actually the first night that I actually like Dylanna's performance too. Her voice seemed to work with that song, whereas I usually can't stand listening to her.

I don't think the bottom three is going to change much from now till tommorow. I hope they finally get rid of Zayra. She's been living on borrowed time as it is.

Huh? when is the show aired live? They air the performance show on wednesday nights here and the elimination show on thursday nights.

first post and I would like to say that this is a great forum.
The singers from the inxs show were far and away better talents then most of these singers. Anyway who would really want to perform in a band with a ego like "T-Lee", a guitar player that has never really done anything on his own, and Jason well he might be the only one that knows what is going on. At least he gives good criticism.
I do like magni and the one chick that asked Navarro if he does anything different on stage. I forget what her name is, she is kind of ugly, and old, but can sing.
