- The death date of the artist is not that important for English Wikipedia. If the work was published early on, as seems likely, it's fine. The image is still underdocumented but no more so than the majority of our (supposedly) PD images. Let's see if User:Berig can establish a publication date and a source. - It is probably from a book by sv:Nils Fredrik Sander from the 19th century. In Sweden Jenny Nyströms images are not PD yet. /Pieter Kuiper 16:42, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know, but that's acceptable over here (though not over on Wikimedia Commons). Any 19th century publication would be good enough to establish public domain status in the United States. See e.g. Image:Ed0007.jpg, a Nyström image I've uploaded. Haukur 16:47, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, this particular Jenny Nyström image was published in a book in 1895[7].--Berig 19:23, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- All right, no problem, then. I've removed the deletion template. Haukur 20:02, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
