Blue Bone is just one dude but the updates slowed down and later on his promised features like costumes, mini games, romances, good/bad routes were cut with a rather unceremonially post and choices ingame doesnt matter and dont have later consequences. Yes the elf in the beginning will get "pregnant" from the werewolf but it doesnt seem to be a big deal and wont be mentioned ever again for example.
In addition fellatrix changed his artstyle down the line. Dont get me wrong I am all for improving your skills but at least keep the style for after you are done with a game or project. The new artstyle is a very far cry from bad but still the changes were at least to me that significant that it bothered me for some reason. Especially for older characters.
Anyway rant? is over and I will still give the game a chance once its officially out but I wont expect anything more afterwards.
Also the Idea about the werewolf fucking and impregnating the village while the MC is away is pretty hot ,)

The content after the Ballon starts getting a bit too twisted and all over the place. It feels more like you're just on a railroad, just kind of "watching" as things happen, where you don't REALLY have much of a choice in the matter. Everything is enforced to go the MCs way and Good Ending. There is no true choices, no consequences, there is no feeling of constant oppression and danger in a dark and utterly perverted World, where the Angels cannot intervene directly, and has to use the MC as an Agent to stop the Origin of it all, or at least attempt to.
Lots of other Single Developers has created far more consistent and impressive projects, that has specific themes and focuses you can enjoy, regardless how short or long it is. Being a "Visionary" means jack shit, if you cannot manifest what you envision. And if you lose your intended vision halfways, you have so fucked up and should STOP rather than press on. There will be no happiness and only anger and frustration forward.
Fellatrix i have a lot of respect for. But if the Artwork changed during the halfways and so on in Tail of Desire. You have gone full inconsistent with the Art Direction. That's a fat fucking nope. You might as well just DELETE Tail of Desire, and start from scratch. No matter how much troublesome it sounds, it is better in the long term, if you still want to make it.
Don't worry, i rant a lot too. An unappreciated charm.
Well, yeah. Like i said regarding the Werewolf. If MC fails at finding Werewolf and saving the Chieftess during the time he has on him, the scene with the Werewolf and Chieftess will play, showing her fall and being dominated by the monster. The MC will scour the Map but never find the Werewolf or the Chieftess. Go back to bed and wake up and greeted by the Chieftess and things go as normal, but rubs her belly as the MC leaves onto his journey. You will eventually see more Scenes of the Villages rape and impregnation fall, could go as far as to have Hyper Pregnancy from the Werewolfs shenanigans, while MC sleeps and progresses onwards. This could apply to many other of MCs failures and the extremely pornographic consequences of his failures.

Thinking back to when I played, wasn't the start like that anyway? You just move the MC into place for the next cutscene to play, and you just ctrl-skip through the dialogue because it's irrelevant. I'm starting to see a lot of lazy implementations of RPGM lately, where people use it as a 'walking into cutscenes' simulator, when they can just make that a VN if the rest of the game is going to be so underutilized.
I don't particularly care about the art change, except for the fact that it means dev time goes into reworking old content instead of forging ahead to the finish. That's what annoys me. Too much of that and game progress halts, fans get angry, get bored of waiting, start pulling their patreon payments, dev see's support evaporating, etc. The game hasn't updated for months now because of the revision.

Back before BlueBone's original Patron website was taken down - this would have been Beta v0.1 to v0.5 or so - the game was completely different. The biggest issue being that it was COMPLETED! ...technically. He DID do two separate versions of the game. The complete version (Bad Path of corruption) and the incomplete version (Good Path) in one combined game. What we have now is a degraded version of the Good Path game version (and even this has been sliced and hacked of most of the actual content until it is unrecognizable). The key here is the Bad Path version, which is what he originally based his entire game design around. It was NOT something you could just plug in and play, though. It required either a passcode (pressing specific keys in a specific combination and not a password) or later on, a patch to unlock it. To know if the Bad Path version was unlocked after that, you'd look at the Title Screen which would have Taboo Edition (or something similar) in place of Beta v*.* in the top right corner (might have said it somewhere else as well, but can't recall). The next feature was that once he appeared on the mountain top...he was completely nude (zip, nada, no clothes). In the Good Path, he ALWAY wore underpants. In any case, from what I recall, he stripped this game down to nearly nothing, because of international laws at the time (and nearly never picked the game back up after that). The Taboo version had just about every #tag on the list of this site and probably a dozen more. He had some legal issues (major fricking problems) due to it (don't ask, since I don't know). So basically, to cover his own arse from getting burned, he trashed everything. It's why there are things in the game that don't seem to serve any purpose or 'feel' incomplete somehow (example: the goblin and the panties. You once could get a pair of panties for every female in the game. You could also get some for the dragon and yourself. All of these could be given to the goblin and later at night you could sneak into the cave to watch what happened afterwards. Or wake up under the goblin's influence yourself. Also, most animals were able to be interacted with. Slimes were essentially 'unfertilized eggs' once inside you, allowing you to use them to get preg (look at the map. Anywhere with a slime and NPCs allowed for Slimes and NPCs to 'get touchy-feely'). Not sure if all that was removed. You could actually change sex at will partway through the game. There was a 'goblin milkshake' that allowed for moral corruption. There were intimate actions during battle sequences. Random chances of party members getting preg (entire monthly/birth cycles and images/animations). Most of the NPCs could join your party for adventures, though you could only have two and the MC at any point. And a lot of other stuff. :

No but if you see his twitter he's been shilling on Fellatrix works so much that the artstyle and even his woman taste slowly get influenced by him. I 'blame' fellatrix for why we got too much grandma, blowjob scene and obviously the ugly chinese restaurant lady in the game. Though I'm sure some people like it, major style and fetishes shift near the end of development like this is never really a good idea as he make the long supporter for this project dissappointed to see the game ended up differently than what we expected.

For people wondering what is the author doing atm well he is just finishing that one figurine for when the game is out, it seems like he spent some time studying a new software just for it.

Where did you all that information from? The very beginning of his patreon?
As someone mentioned already it would be awesome to have that version.
He sure got heat from patreon but many other would just find ways to implement the stuff they wanted anyway. He did indeed open up a subscribestar which was in intself one step in the right direction.

I think there was never that "edition" the author did wanted to make it that way because in some early versions there was the whole "bad points" for the MC (Stealing things for example gave those points) but it never got a result it was only in "proccess" the moment the author made the end of the story he only deleted that part.
A lot of things were changed but he never got a "complete" version of the game and he also said in other posts the reasons of his doing:
